To be fair the guy we spend No 1 pick on was a ghost as well. Maybe he was in the Halloween spirit.Originally posted by Formula 21 View Post
Fans say they don't want to spend No 1 picks on WRs. But look what happens when they play poorly. WR play lost that game for us.Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:
- 69-74 record
- 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
- Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
- 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
- 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
- Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
- Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

Yes they do. We intercepted Peyton Manning 6 times in a game once and he was well beyond his second year in the league. EVERY player has a bad game no matter if they are a star or not. They are human beings afterall.Originally posted by AKFlyFisher
This is my point. The analytics all should be huge cause for concern here, especially coming after a bye. A "franchise" QB or "superstar" QB doesn't have those types of games. They have a less quality start, but not bottom of the league play. I think the lack of adjustment is the alarming part.
The next step is he will start to really mentally press, followed by physical pressing. He might already be showing both in the last game.

What I can't understand is where did our star WR's go? In the early games, they often got open, even wide open at times. In the last two games, they've been well covered. They simply aren't getting open. .what's up with that?
This is my first post this week. Losing to a Patriot team that had two CB's out and a rookie QB (who was inaccurate) made me sick. I still can't get over it.THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!

See, this is my question too. A couple of weeks ago they were the best WR duo in football. Now I'm reading they are the worst at creating separation. Something doesn't jive. Keenan was wide freakin' open on his 30 yd catch early in the 1st Q.Originally posted by chargeroo View PostWhat I can't understand is where did our star WR's go? Could be just that Balt and NE traditionally have good DB playOriginally posted by chargeroo View PostWhat I can't understand is where did our star WR's go? but yes it's kinda embarrassing
Our only really deep strength was WR at the start of the season and now it's far from it.
We need more weapons in general

Herbert has the same issues as last year: post snap reads. He's performing better from a clean pocket but worse under pressure, which is exactly what groups like PFF predicted in a sophmore slump. On aggregate he is very similar to last year, we're just dealing with recency bias after 2 bad games.
He's still young, he has all the tools, he isn't stupid, and he can learn. However, he and Norton are the #2 and #1 issues on the offense the last 2 weeks.
However, people coming on here questioning his value as a HUMAN or his ability to fucking read are fucking disgusting. Same with people doing so for the coaching staff or front office. Just because you are a fan does not entitle you to verbal abuse. It's like a spouse saying "I pay the bills so it's okay that I abuse you."
I've reached the point where I have all but like 7 people blocked. I logged out and re read some of the people I have blocked. Still disgusting.
So I'm saying bye to the board until draft time. My time is too valuable to waste dealing with this toxicity.

Ha, i guarantee if Herbert and especially Rivers threw 6 INTs and we lost, this place would go balistic and call for a trade, to cut them, ......anything they can think of. It dont matter if Peytons stats, Analynics or whatever werent bottom barrel or not. If you throw 6 INTs, you arent going to win a game and yes those INTs were a direct reason that they lost.Originally posted by AKFlyFisher
I knew someone would bring that game up. Go look at Manning's analytics from that game. They weren't bottom of the barrel in the league. Interceptions aren't dispositive.
