For 9 yrs it is the same. They never do enough to load the roster to have a real chance at going deep into the playoffs.

I remember in TT's first year he made only a few moves after AJ ran the team into the ground and reporters were asking him about the obvious rebuild and if he expected to win right away and he said yes. and we went 9-7

his record is 65-72 after 9 years you have to wonder how long mgmt will tolerate TT and their own mediocrity.

One thing - better to lose to MN than say Pittsburgh if you are losing a game

But Tillery, Murray, Kelley, Gilman - they just aren't making plays

      I would fire Telesco tomorrow
TT brought in RB coach to be HC and ended Rivers career. His draft picks have been C+ at best. Rivers went to colts and played very good in P.O…the defense and kicker let him down.

Time for new GM and if we miss P.O. coaches can go too.

i agree that the team is better than it was last season, and heading in right direction ..... and Staley is teaching this team how to ply and win close games...... maybe later this year or next year he will teach them how to start dominating opponents?
We are on the same page. We are all frustrated that our only emerging offensive weapons, Stephen Alexander & Donald Parham, were showed up by Hunter Henry's big day in Foxboro.

I'm encouraged in the direction of the team, and it's a work in progress. Bolt Up!
Since moving to Los Angeles, entering this season, the Chargers had what, 37, regular season wins. So 8.25 wins a year. Now they are 5-4 and 1-2 in what was supposed to be the "soft" portion of their schedule. Progress?
Weird stat maybe others knew already-this game might not have been played without the expanded season. I think this was added based on both teams finishing 3rd in their respective division. So we lost a game we should never have played. Guess we have that going for us.

Not every week so we have the same game plan.

Waller and Kelce don't have the same huge stats every week. All defenses are different and you attack accordingly.

We do have 5 wins and in 4 of those, we didn't have a ton of TE targets involved like last week. Do the same things every week, DCs will shut you down.

I still think our defense is a bigger problem but sure the offense can use improvements here and there.
No we didn’t throw to the TEs. Cook had one catch and Parham one catch. Huge drop off.

Kelce and Waller are both focal points of their respective offenses. Not a good take.

yes our defense is bad. Staley was supposed to be the defensive guru and play caller so who are you gonna blame. Everybody roasted Gus D but he was probably better. So, yeah over his head

as for game planning the great teams do what they want to do on offense and get it in their playmakers hands. They don’t let the defense dictate.

That may be true. I'd like to hear what Joe Gibbs thinks about the team and the offense, if he even follows the league any more. When he was a TV commentator for a brief time, I thought he was tremendous. Probably my favorite head coach in my lifetime. I digress......

I think it will be very difficult for Staley to fire Lombardi, as he looks up to Lombardi. Kind of like how it was very difficult for Lynn to fire the ST coach Stewart, as he was Lynn's mentor. It's generally not good practice to have best friends/close associates/mentors working for you, as you can get caught up in doing the right thing.

Nothing is going to happen in-season with Lombardi. That would be shocking news.

                From a tweet:

Chargers gained just over 250 yards of offense against the league's 4th-worst defense (383.6/gm) that's also missing half their starters.

Justin Herbert now has three bad performances and one gem in the past month. He's looking worse during the "soft" part of their schedule.

                • To me the reason the offense is suffering is because for whatever reason teams are able to get a pass rush on Herbert now. Earlier in the year he had more time to pass. Today the Vikes made quite a few sacks or hurries. Pass rush. Kind of old fashioned...but it has always worked. That is when a good running game can help you. But we don't have that.

Cook had 3 targets, Parham had 2, so not as much but last week was a first this season. It was a game plan.

No, Hill is the focal point of their offense and Kelci is their second best pass catcher because their other WRs aren't nothing special.

We don't have a Kelci or Waller TE. If we did, we would be throwing more to them like we did with Gates , but I don't recall Sean Paytons TEs leading the league in receptions either. Their best in that time was Jimmy Graham and they ended up trading him.

Cook is a above average vet, Parham an up and comer. Our WRs are much better than they are but they have a purpose when facing a defense that don't do well at covering TEs and for check downs on shorter passes.

As for the defense, I blame the lack of talent on it. So Telesco gets that blame.

I think his time is about done here.

ironically since he left here, Facyson looks better than he did with us. Go figure. He played for Gus here and Staley for a short time.

He had all day on his INT. It wasnt on target and MW was more open underneath.

Just need a shot in the arm, from where I do not know at the moment. But I’m not jumping off ship just yet, not bandwagon choad, in it for long haul. Staley will figure it out.
