Got it from bleacher report. Requires surgery. No word on how long he will be out or if it is a lost season. Seemed like he was finally coming on (based on one game).
Damn...he actually looked pretty damn good last night. On the play where he broke his foot (Perryman's penalty), he was all sorts of disruptive and although he did no make the tackle, he absolutely caused the breakdown on offense. Too bad.
No offense to Tourek's career. But, if he's the best player to get injured so far - then, so far, so good. He hadn't done anything yet to make me think he was going to be any good this season.

Yeah, because young players that changed positions after college never get any better. I swear I have no idea what you expect of young guys entering the league. Your similar opinion of Watt I believe will be put to rest in short order. He is going to be a very good centre for us, despite what you and many others say on this board.
With that said, let's hope this is a one off injury for the pre-season.

GO BOLTS!!!
I expect young players to generally suck, and I expect some of them to improve over time. If I thought rebuilding was the way to go, I'd be all about starting Watt at center and Williams at LB. But this is an all-or-nothing year. We don't have time to wait for guys to develop.
A lot of guys take till their 3rd year. This preseason was important to Williams so it hurts to lose this time. That said, this is not that big a loss. We haven t lost a starter yet so that's good.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
The Wasted Decade is done.
