Has it been mentioned here that Tre' McKitty got his first reception last night? It was just one for a short gain, but I think he showed good athleticism on the catch and run. I look forward to seeing more of what he can do. Palmer had one target and one catch also, for 17 yards. I want to see these guys develop. Cook and possibly MW may not be here next season.

Anyways here’s why the breakdown of that MW TD.
The play design featured a route combination on the left side of the formation. Outside receiver Mike Williams ran a go route. Allen, out of the slot, had a choice route on which he could break inside or outside, or stop, depending on the defender’s leverage. All game, according to Herbert, the Steelers had been sinking their outside corner onto the choice route to try and jump it for an interception. They were trying to bait Herbert into a throw to Allen, his favorite target. On this play, they blitzed their slot corner Arthur Maulet to sweeten the bait.
Allen was open initially because of the blitz. The outside corner, Sutton, was reading Herbert’s eyes, though. He drifted off Williams’ go route and was ready to pounce on the short route to Allen. Herbert saw it. Ekeler, meanwhile, read the slot corner pressure perfectly and upended Maulet with a low block. That gave Herbert time to find the wide-open Williams down the left sideline. Williams only had one man to beat, rookie safety Tre Norwood. Williams high-stepped past him for the game-winning touchdown.
“I told Mike to just be ready for it,” Herbert said. “And he did a great job running his route, breaking tackles and scoring.”
“That’s real quarterbacking stuff,” Staley said of Herbert’s recognition and decision on the play.
Safety Derwin James, watching from the sideline, had one thought when Herbert released the throw.
“Touchdown. Six.”

Plenty of time to move. But the d smothered them

The only thing that this game proves - as if it needed proof - is that this is *still* a 9-10 win team. Nothing's changed. But in order to get to that 10-win mark, the Chargers are going to have to sweep either the Raiders or Broncos (I doubt they sweep the Chiefs). Let's assume they sweep the Raiders and split with the Broncos. That gives them 8 wins. Then it's just a matter of taking care of business against the Giants and Texans, over whom they will almost certainly be favored, and there's your 10. So I think it's gonna come down to that last game of the year against the Raiders.

it was absolutely intentional and the intention was to illegally hurt our most valuable player.
So I won't be shedding tears if/when karma catches up to him.

Staley said last night that a qbs job is to move the chains by ANY means necessary, I don't think tbat was just coach speak.
what was most exciting to me about JHs runs were the conservative slides they almost all ended with.
just accept it, he is a future MVP and on his way to genuinely be the best player in the league.

Chargers QB Justin Herbert has now led 5 game-winning drives this season, most in the NFL. He's also connected with Mike Williams for 5 separate go-ahead TDs in the 4th quarter, already the most by any QB-WR duo in a single season in NFL history, per
@EliasSportsNow, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
Let’s win one for Mack.
