Ideal scenario is the Browns to crush the Raiders' playoff hopes tomorrow, then the Raiders getting into spoiler mode and beating the Broncos next week in Las Vegans. That would pave the way for the Chargers without much heavy lifting.

We currently have a 75% chance of making the playoffs and a 5% chance of winning the division.

We win the next 3 games and we are in the playoffs. I am sure there are some scenarios where we can lose one or two game and still make the playoffs, but we just need to win them all.

That’s just crazy talk…or is it? All those losses are as believable as us losing James and tanking to the Chiefs. Crazy season.

several years ago the only way Chargers could win the west was for DEN to suddenly tank and lose their final 3 games and DEN shocked everyone and lost all 3 games(chargers backed into division title)....... but the chiefs are not that team...... Reid is a great HOF quality coach.....and their offense is nearly unstoppable when they decide or are forced to score....

I think this year is arguable for you if you just look at the salary comparison. I agree that Henry is a little better than Cook this year, so you could easily argue that we had an extra $2.323M in cap space this year and we could have had a better player in Henry.

However, the problem is that Henry has a 3 year $37.5M contract with $25M guaranteed. His dead cap next year is $19M and his cap hit next year is $15M.

All of that is to say that the Patsies do not get Henry for $6.823M this year without biting off on the large commitment for at least next year. There is no way that Henry is worth a $15M cap hit next year.

And the comp picks that we are going to gain by not re-signing several of our players should help us get some potentially useful special teams guys at a minimum, so they do have some value even if Over the Cap is projecting only a 5th and three 7th round picks for us. I like the idea of having the extra picks.

Cook is older, faster, healthier, and more athletic than Henry but cook has inconsistent hands or concentration...... Henry is not worth that money..... I think Anderson might end up being the best TE currently on our team..... good hands, decent blocker and surprising quickness/speed....

After watching the Bucs vs Saints game, the two FAs we should target are RB Ronald Jones and S Marcus Williams. That Saints secondary looked tight.

Getting a shutout is hard. Even bad teams can get their points to avoid them. A lot of things have to go right to hold a team to no points through all four quarters.
