I think if James is not 100% for this game we hold him out so he can be healthy for the playoff push. I do not want to see us lose a game in the first round because his hammy flared up again as he did not recover enough.
I do believe this qualifies as a trap game.
Take them one at a time.
Offense be sharp.
Then, it's a Lock.
Kick the Raiders in the nutz.
Super Bowl baby.
Oh wait.

For what it is worth, the Chargers have played the toughest schedule - based on the win-loss record of opponents - in the AFC - at .547. The Chiefs are 2nd, at .545. They are the only two teams in the current playoff standings to have a SOS (strength of schedule) of +.500
If you look at SOS for every team, the playoff teams tend to have a lower SOS and non-playoff teams tend to have a higher SOS. SOS plays a large factor in whether a team gets into the playoffs or not. By general rule, teams get into the playoffs by having a weaker schedule against bad teams, while teams that miss the playoffs play a tougher schedule against better teams.
The Chargers and Chiefs are a stark exception. Both have gotten into the playoff tier with the two toughest schedules in the conference and by beating better teams. They may be the two best teams in the conference. The six other teams with a SOS of +.500 are currently out of the playoff picture.
One thing for sure, the Texans are not in tank for the draft mode, at least when playing a division rival. It is a "trap" game, but the last trap game, the Chargers ran a way with an easy win.

After losing on Thursday, I expect them to come out locked and loaded. And I’ll be there in the stands.

I agree about James. If they can let him rest - let him rest. Before yesterday against the Jags - the Texans were averaging like 13.5 points and giving up close to 30. So I would think the Chargers offense can sustain some things , the defense can do enough like the Giants and have James healthy for the final two weeks
Its a trap game - but shouldn't. Focus on the Texans and just win this game

Agree, we can win without him. Need him for the division games to come. I don’t even suit him up

This forum posted a dozen plus pages of NYG trap game and it was a stomping. This isn’t a trap game, our team just lost a game they should have won. They will be angry, there will be no trap.
