People may be overlooking the salary consideration on why Phillips was let go and Miller was kept. Now that his salary is guarenteed that is not part of the equation and perhaps influenced who got cut this time.

I played with Alan Wiggins many times Jackie Robinson park in Paseadena as a teen. He was a good dude. So sad the way things turned out. He had a good buddy we played with, Dwight Harris, who was the CIF triple jump champ, as a Soph in HS. Shoulda been on the Olympic team. He was drafted by the Yankees and blew his bonus money on crack. Best athlete I ever played with. So sad.
