RIP, Train. I remember him gashing the Raiders for many yards, one of the few bright spots in many games.
Goodbye Little Train

RIP Lil Train … thank you for the great memories
Apologies for an inappropriate segue, this reminds of that era. my favorite Charger, perhaps still, was Chuck Muncie. That coke-fueled beast was awesome knocking over defenders like bowling pins.
ok, sorry,. Prayers to Lionel’s family and loved ones.“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

I am with you, Dmac. Muncie was awesome and so fun to watch. I didn't know about the drug troubles until after he retired so I was able to just watch and enjoy him. Cosell called him a hoss.
I watched some Little Train highlights and youtube suggested a bunch more stuff. Watched some vintage 94-95 games again. Forgot how dominant Means was and how dominant that defense was. Leslie ONeal was really something. And the two cast offs in the middle, Shawn Lee and Reuben Davis just dominated.
TGLike, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

What? I'm away for one day and Little Train passes away? How terribly sad. What a favorite he was. All the stories say he died "after a lengthy illness" but don't say what it was.
Damn.
Way too many Chargers have died way too young.

Yes Muncy was a hoss. I had seats in the third row right above where the Chargers came out of the tunnel. We had the ball on about the five yard line right down from me. Chuck ran a sweep to the right. He got into full on speed with knees high as he approached a Bronco defensive back. I can still remember the Bronco players eyes. They were so wide. I think Chuck ran him over.
