There's two thread going on this. This appears to be the first.

I am excited about this, it is potentially a game changer for the defense. Mack paired with Bosa. This has the potential to be the best edge rusher duo in the league. Mack is only 30. He had six sacks in 7 games last season. He missed the second half of last season with a foot injury that required surgery. But he has been very durable, in the first 7 seasons of his career he missed only two games - in 2018. Mack started out on fire last season before his injury, recording 6 sacks in games - the most he has ever recorded in the first 6 games of a season. This trade has Staley all over it. He coached Mack at Chicago and he wanted him. With Mack, offenses can't double Joey Bosa. The Chargers' pass rush has a chance to be absolutely lethal next season. We should be celebrating.
