What do you see for Melvin Gordon next Monday?

I'm predicting big things. I know it's the Steelers and they have limited the run game fairly well this season - EXCEPT for last week. And an o-line can't suck this bad for this long and keep a RB of Gorgonites talent bottled up without something giving. This is the game that our o-line decides to block. They want to prove to the world they are good enough and Monday night is a great venue to show it. And Gordon is like a racehorse climbing the starting gate because he wants to show the world he is the best rookie RB in his class - on national TV. Of course I could be wrong.

At this point I do not expect Gorbon to see more than 18 carries a game untill Woodhead retires.

I hear ya. I think we'll have to pretty much have two things for a Gorgonite breakout: One, early and frequent success from Gordon and two, our defense has to tackle someone (I know, doesn't seem possible). I don't see Gordon breaking out in a score-fest where Pitt also scores a lot.

McCoy flat out said from day one it would be a RB by committee and with Woodhead picking up where he left off, I'm not too surprised. Now if we get a decent lead we'll see more of him, but I'd be shocked to see him with 25+ carries any time soon.

I wouldn't mind seeing more carries, but after watching him whiff on that block early that nearly got Rivers killed he is t ready in the passing game with the way Woodhead is playing. And it's not like Woodhead is hurting us.

In the way that we are not mixing pass and run plays weather in shotgun of with Rivers under Center equaly between rds its hurting Gordon by stacking the defence against the run when he is going n the game.

For Gordon to even have an opportunity for a break out game we need to take an early lead. We haven't been able to do that in any game yet. With us playing from behind most of the time the game is put into Rivers hands and Gordon can't be emphasized.
