    Monday Night Game Thread

I work until 5 during the week, so it's possible I'll be unable to start the actual Game Day thread for this coming Monday Night. I was told I had to start the thread so I'm doing it a couple days early just in case I'm late.

If this is against some rule, then please delete this and get somebody else to do it. I'm happy retiring undefeated from Game Day Thread making.

Anyway - the Steelers make me think of my time in Miami the week leading up to our Super Bowl. I met some female Steelers fans (female fans - not fans of female Steelers) who had bought tickets to the game when they thought their meaningless team was going to win the AFC Championship. They were really, really, really, really nice, really, really, really, really fun, and really, really, really, really, really memorable, so it's been impossible for me to hate the Steelers as much as I should.

That being said - fuck the Steelers. Go San Diego.

NFLN is having a jizzfest with the Squeelers today. They had a program on the Immaculate Reception and the only good thing about it was watching whiners like Atkinson, Vialpiano, fatass Madden, and the devil himself (Al Davis) whine about it.

Immaculate Reception was before my time, but it is fun to watch. Raiders are lame.

I wonder who the three wise men were who showed up after the Immaculate Reception.

As a Steelers fan at the time it was a beautiful play. I saw it when it happened. So exciting.

As a future human being to be born into hatred of all that is evil, that play has brought an equal amount of joy spread out over the years. It's always good to see the ultimate bad guys lose in heart-breaking fashion, even if it is to lesser bad guys.

I hate the Steelers now but at the time the Steelers were kind of like the Clippers, perennial losers that had never won anything. I'm not gonna look it up, but that might have been their first playoff game ever, certainly was their first in a very, very long time. It was considered by many to be a case of good triumphing over evil.
