I think the Chargers shitting themselves on the field isn't very convenient for Spanos trying to move the team. You could probably find some reasons it helps them, like in the movie Major League, but for them to be successful up there, they need to take care of business on the field, and they might be in danger of both cities becoming apathetic about their potential relocation.

Might? LA never cared, IMO; now even the diehards - the few - in San Diego are starting to abandon ship. Spanos is shooting himself in BOTH feet.

Good news is that the team is making a great case for increasing TOT funds for a new stadium. Look at all the added revenue you can get when visiting teams fill the stadium! Think of all the airport, hotel, etc.. revenue these sports tourists generate!

Not absolving them by any means, but you can't tell me that half of the home crowd pulling for the other team doesn't have an impact, especially with the rumors of relocation. It's a morale killer.
