This is going to be me in a few days in Montana.

Years ago in a game at the Murph,the Jets were leading the Chargers by a couple of TD's with only five minutes or so left. It was a chilly day and my wife was so cold her teeth were rattling and she wanted to leave. I felt sorry for her so I agreed to leave early. As we were walking across the parking lot toward our car a big roar went up and the announcer said, Touchdown Alworth! We got in the car as they were announcing the Chargers recovered the onside kick. As I started driving I clicked on the radio and before I turned out of the lot, Hadl threw another TD pass and the Chargers won - I missed all the fun. I told her when we got home, in the event, this ever comes up again, you go ahead out to the car and turn on the heater but I'm not leaving a game early again. Of course, being San Diego it didn't come up again. A couple of years later she quit going with me.

Fun fact.
Chris Schenkel was calling the Rose Bowl one year...a long time ago.
There had been a sprinkling of snow on the San Gabriel Mountains.
So what does Chris say ?

I could never have talked my late wife into going to a game in Buffalo - never. It was probably about 60 degrees that day at the Murph when she was so cold. Come to think of it, my present wife wouldn't go either.

Yes Mountains of snow! Born there and suffered through all 4 Super Bowl loses. Moved to San Diego in 1979 and now a Charger fan and still suffering!
