I don't know if we want to have one thread for the entire season to discuss other games or if we want a new thread every week. But the 2022-23 NFL season starts this evening. And I have a few things to say about it.
The Bills are favored by 2.5, but I am picking the Rams to win. I can't remember the last time the reigning Super Bowl champs opened the season as dogs at home.
I know this game is being touted as a possible Super Bowl match up. But I also look at it this game as the two teams the Chargers could face in the AFC Championship game and Super Bowl.
I like the Rams' acquisition of Allen Robinson. I think that is going to make the Rams' offense more potent. WR Van Jefferson is out but they have Tutu Atwell, and it will be interesting to see if Atwell can produce in the NFL. He's only 155 lbs, but get him the ball in space and watch out (maybe/potentially). The Rams also have RB Cam Akers healthy and I think he will be a factor in the Rams' offensive success (or lack thereof).
I think this is going to be a great game to watch and since softball has been cancelled this eve due to the hell heat in Nor Cal, I look forward to watching it this evening.
I do have one more question: Will the loss of Sebastian Joseph-Day have a negative impact on the Rams' IDL?
