Hopefully ATL was a trap game for the Niners.

I think it was, because ATL is better than previously thought. They've figured out who they are and their HC has them believing in themselves. They're a running team, and they've got the QB to do it well. The 49ers didn't look prepared to be run on like that, and they're missing some of their big bodies up front on defense.

The 49ers looked like they might be ready to start running away with the division. But the Rams won today, and now the Niners are 3-3 tied with the Rams and Seahawks. They are going to be extra motivated to win next week. They don't want to lose 2 in a row. They can do the Chargers a huge favor.

I only saw the first quarter of Bills / Chiefs but Tony Romo might have called the final score and said it wasn’t going to be a shoot out. Prescient.

Some odd lines for next week.

The 2-3 Broncos right now are 3.5 pt faves over the 4-2 Jets. The game is in Denver, but I still find it odd.

The Jags, who are 2-4 after losing three straight, are 2.5 pt faves over the 5-1 Giants. The game is in JAX, but still, odd.

The 3-3 Bengals are 6.5 pt faves over the 3-3 Falcons. The game's in Cincy, but the Falcons are not the pushovers everybody thought they'd be.

The Chiefs are 2.4 pt faves on the road against the 49ers.

The Chargers are 6.5 pt faves at SoFi against the Seahawks. (And remain 4.5 pt faves over the Broncos tomorrow.)
