Carson is a great choice for the NFL. A lot of owners need brain transplants so they can start acting like human beings and less like orangutans from the Planet of the Apes.

Connect the dots. This is about the Raiders, not the Chargers IMO.
Iger's entire net worth is $100 million so he won't be buying a very big portion if it is him.

He's making $1 per year on this project, so minority ownership is likely what he is really interested in.
Davis is openly looking for partners.
Spanos has inheritance tax issues looming.

If the inheritance tax is driving this, he should sell!

Read an article (forget where), that stated the Igor NOT DISNEYLAND was involved. It was the main topic of the article...

What did the Ducks look like before the Disney acquired them?

Disney owned the expansion Mighty Ducks. They eventually sold the team.

You have a link? I heard his contract with Disney is only till 2018. You think the CEO of Disney would have the time to take on this type of part time job?
migrated from chargerfans.net then the thenflforum.com then here

                    From an LA times article:

Iger would be chairman of Carson Holdings and would continue to serve as chairman and CEO of Disney under the terms of his contract.
                    From an ESPN article:

The appointment won't affect Iger's job as chairman and CEO of Disney, and the contract between the two allows Iger to recuse himself in situations of conflict.
What I had heard on the radio was that he would continue working at Disney and that his main job would be to hire a president to run the LLC and to help with strategic planning. His contract does expire in 2018 and he has an option to buy a small percentage of either the Raiders or Chargers.

So basically he lends his name to the project, hires someone to lead the LLC (what is Carmen Policy supposed to be doing again?), and gets to buy into one of the teams (even though he is reportedly worth "only" $100M). Yup, Hail Mary.

                          Yep. He's just a figurehead.

Reeks of desperation more than a legitimate plan otherwise they would have hired him from the start.
