they need to actually tackle in practice so that when we play, we will be in football shape and not get so many injuries...... Chargers are soft because we have had many years of soft players friendly kind of coaches..... Coach is supposed to be a leader, set the rules, discipline, attitude..... this is softest Chargers team in a long time.... SCAL makes players soft..... the Chargers having the most injuries in NFL nearly every year is not an accident..... they work hard at it..... this year it has hit primarily our superstars.... no team could lose this many superstars and win ball games....

I know the union does not want tacking in practice, but the good teams (with old school coaches)still do it.....the organization just pays the fines.... and they dont broadcast it.....

How do you have a "significant" groin injury and are "day to day"? I would not be surprised at all if we get a week or two into this and he is either IR'd or worse his season is done.

I had a pretty bad one in high school and it lingered throughout college and still bothers me to this day if not properly stretched. It's one of those it's always there type of injuries.

I think they'll see how this week goes and will decide whether to put him on short-term IR by Friday. We have a bye Week 8, seems to me like Week 9 is probably the latest we'll see Joey again.

I was waiting for you to chime in with that exact post.

Give us something - anything - to make us quitters (of which I am definitely one) reconsider our "quit-ness". And I don't count "Anything can happen"; "That's why you play the games"; or "On any given Sunday" as something.

Are we healthy?
Have we dominated an opponent?
- When was the last time we did?
How's the running game?
How's the passing game?
How's the defense?
Has the coaching staff given us any reason to believe in them?

If anything, injuries alone should be enough to fuel at least *some* of the negative feelings around here; can you at least concede that? And the noise about the team quitting on Staley - only rumors, I realize - can't be a good sign, if true. Where is that ray of hope that keeps you from jumping off the bandwagon? Inquiring minds need to know.
