Right now the biggest problem, is our RB's, WR's, TE's and Pass Rush! We have to move on from Allen after this season he's getting too long in the tooth to be our #1 WR. We need a WR like the Vikings, Bills, or Dolphins have Ek is not the answer and we need a RB like the Browns and Titans or Giants have. Also We need a TE like the Chiefs or Falcons have.

We need to remove the injury prone players on this squad, and replace them with star Free agents or blue chip draft picks going forward, that's going all in.

We also have to remove the players that have not progressed in this system. K-9, Etc.

Or the team gets healthy once the playoffs start, we keep scraping and remain steady and we start rolling once the playoffs start once key players return, heck they'll be well rested. This could play out as well if all goes right? Then we remove the players that didn't get better between now and the playoffs.

    Or

If we miss the playoffs we fire the GM and HC and we bring in a Harbaugh or Payton.

He doesn't even look at him. I just wish they'd give the kid a chance on some well-defended and/or contested throws - the emphasis by Lombardi on sure possessions where the primary read receiver is 10 yards away from any other defender isn't really feasible given the quality of opposing talent in the NFL, especially considering Lombardi's lack of creativity to scheme such scenarios for any respectable gain and the injury status/depth of our offensive roster. For what it's worth, I saw Herbert throw several dimes in between defenders that only one or two other quarterbacks could make in this very game so he's still got that edge, they just need to enable him to take more of those chances to reenforce his confidence to be able to do more of that.

Harbaugh would be good for a 3 or 4 year window unless he wins a Superbowl within that timeframe in which case I can see where he'd be apt to stay on long-term. Unfortunately, I don't really see a Harbaugh/Spanos dynamic not blowing up rather quickly given Harbaugh's personality.

Same old story with Lombo’s sickening offense calls. How many times did we see the same run up the gut for no yardage on first down?

Defense deserves applause considering two more DL’s got injured.

Mack, once again, was the MVP. We would have no pass rush whatsoever if it wasn’t for him. I feel more sad his talent is being wasted versus Herbert because Herbert has so many years left in his career.

McKitty Can only block. Hands of stone and worthless as a receiver. TE has to be a priority in next offseason, along with WR, DE, and DL.

Guys have played hard but too many injuries.

Not sure how management determined they didnt need receiving help before deadline
People are saying that one person wasn't going to help the roster

The problem is at the deadline - Telesco knew the health of the WR room and he still did nothing. NOTHING. And last night proved, Herbert has no chance if receivers get open

Add in McKitty who doesn't catch anything. Stick, Jaimes, McKitty, Woods. How many mid round picks on Telescos watch don 't do a thing

Add in Lombo who ran ran ran on first down except the one time when they had it at the 2 and of course they go pass - no Ekeler, false start, incomplete and sack or whatever for a FG

And I will also add if Storm Norton was not starting - it proved why fans were right last offseason when we all wanted more depth at OT

The failure of this season is squarely on Telesco and John Boy but Tom will get a pass because of :"injuries"

Lombo ran the ball so often on first down and yet the one play of the game the run was obvious - he passed. Ekeler wasn't even in the game. Four runs from the two yard line. He should be fired. Zero feel for the game.

Interesting because you list all the players that suck and then think it’s the HC needs to be replaced.

I actually think Staley did an amazing job with the defense considering how many DL and DE players are injured. Chargers were in the lead for 3 quarters in case you didn’t notice.

It’s Lombardi’s limp play calling that caused this loss. By the fourth quarter, SF knew exactly what he was going to call and shut it down.

And you bring up Lombo but the WRs they have - can't get open
Bandy had ZERO catches last night - guy cannot get open

This again goes back to Telesco or John Boy.

All of the injuries and they never bring in a veteran
                    The Cowboys signed Jason Peters
The RAvens brough in DeSean Jackson a few weeks ago

Why is Storm Norton on the roster

                    Brandon Jaimes - another bust
                    McKitty can't catch the ball
                    on and on and on

Not one road grader on the OL?

I listened to Collingworth slobber over Trent Green repeatedly about SF’s ability to run behind him when it counts.

Then I watched Ekeler and Spiller repeatedly try to run behind Zion Johnson and get stuffed at the LOS.

Is Zion less than advertised? i.e. not the blue chip first round talent that was touted so much?

where’s the finger need to be pointed in terms of why this OL can’t open a gap for RB’s to save their lives?

on the other hand, every team seems to be able to open up gaps in our DL you can drive a Semi through and we are always reliant on our LB’s to stop runs.

Yep too bad someone like Nick Chubb wasn't our RB and the person we were running so often with.
