I'll keep saying it, but a Lombardi-led offense will never take us anywhere. Anyone can keep pointing to 2021 Herbert stats, but you also need to factor there was one more game that season compared to 2020, with a much improved offensive line, and a porous defense that forced us to take chances on 4th down to extend drives thus giving us more offensive play opportunities per game. You can also add that Lombo hadn't been an OC for years prior to 2021 so his tendencies were unknown. Now there's plenty of tape to review, and the tendencies are quite easy to spot. Say what you will, but if this team ever makes the postseason, this offense and playcalling will not be competitive and lead us to a one and done.

The D steps up and the O just can’t score points. I still think Lombardi is a poor OC but the injuries and lack of speed may just be too much.

Agreed. For the amount of opportunities the offense has had the ball, this is really disappointing.

No. I actually think they don't have enough talent currently to make any real Superbowl run. I want to see them get healthy.
But I also don't think Herbert is as good as Mahomes or Burrow in a QB driven league, so he will have to prove he can take them out because he will have to go through them to get to the promise land.

What I didnt see was Jimmy G and this 4-4 49ers team as a team that would dominant Herbert and Staley 5-3 Chargers team. So I call it like I see it. And I'm calling you out for a no faith, no perspective but doom and gloom whiner takes.
