They've had no run game all year.

They could have really used one tonight.

Lombo is the type of coach who doesn't emphasize it, Shanahan does.

All the effort is put into the precision passing offense, where receivers have to be in the right spot at the precise moment -
Inches count.....i still remember the schtick.

Yes Mckitty is awful. Never should have been drafted in 3rd round. Major reach
Good thing he made up for it by drafting JT Woods in the 3rd this year.

But he would have helped provide a pass rush on the interior. Because this team doesn't much of it other than Morgan Fox. Lack of pass rush on the interior is one of the teams achilles-heel.

Clearly I watch a different game.
I've always believed its about talent and players over coaches.
Everyone said the 49ers were much healthier and they were. And that is the main reason they were all picking 49ers to win. It had very little if anything at all to do with Shanahan vs Staley. I would say Brandon won the coaching battle but lost the game.

Who has it better than us?

In fact, I HOPE he isn't right (i.e., I hope the injury is still affecting his play), because the alternative - that he's regressed - is much less palatable.

I can just hear the Dolphins fans: Who thinks that we should have taken Herbert over Tun NOW?

Another year wasted rooting for the Chargers.
Herbert. May end up in concussion protocol this week. He wasn’t right in the second half. And boy is Chase Daniel awful.

props to the D for not giving up. Merciful end with the INT on the first play. We didn’t have to suffer anymore after that.

On a bright note, the defense finally looked good.....Tito was a load on the play where he got injured.
              He's playing good.

This hurts. I didn’t expect to win going into that game. But as we watched, that changed. Then realizing it was an uphill battle, I love the fight we still showed.

We won't be viable in the run game unless we have a generational running back like an LT who ran behind poor Olines in his early years, and still had success. We just don't have effective run blockers on the Oline. At this point, I would take a Ryan Mathews. He was surprisingly effective running behind dumpster fires if not for being injury prone.

On the pass near the endzone, it wasn't his hands that failed him..... he hesitated out of the break.

Herbert threw it on the money.....it was where McKitty should have been.

not sure why they went away from Carter on offense
Honestly I didn't know this happened, I was a bit distracted from the game.
As soon as I realized this, I deleted the comment because I agree, he's important and moreso when we already didn't have anyone else.
                      playcalling still blew.

And the defense and ST especially were definitely not helping us for the most part in those years.
                        THIS
Not a slight against Herbert, but Rivers intelligence was just special to of won us those games.
Drove me nuts all those years people blaming Rivers for succes but not enough success having to play with a crappy OL always hurt WRs and coaches of Norv, Mccoy, & Lynn
