Which 4th downs did you think he should have gone for tonight?

It bothers me too, but Staley is still young and not set in his ways. I think he has the intelligence to learn from his mistakes.

The heat he took for his decisions in the last game against the Raiders seems to have changed him.If he truly believed in what he was doing it wouldn't have .
Staley and TT went out and got the guys that were supposed to fix his D and it's been an epic failure !!!

He didn't trust his secondary or linemen last year, so he went for it on 4th more often than not. Not sure why this year he decides to trust the defense, even though they're depleted and in some aspects even worse than last year statistically where they're not as injured. I guess now he doesn't trust the offense more so than the defense.

In any case, I still wonder just how many yards and touchdowns Herbert was able to net last year in spite of Lombardi because of the 4th down conversions that kept long drives sustained.

If I was Herbert, I'd GTFO of this organization... It'll never change.

not sure if he would let Hill and/or Lombardi go (Bobby Ross prolly wouldn't), and.... still voting for Joe Brady as OC and Brian Flores as DC.

even tho a first round DL makes all the sense in the world, gotta believe that if Bijan is there when our slot comes up, that he has to be a huge consideration, and.... we've had our chances in FA to get a between the tackles RB, or @least someone that would complement Austin.

Swept by the Chiefs in two games we should have won. Very disappointing. I think the last time we swept the Chiefs was in 2013.

This is really frustrating, and I just get more and more fed up. I can't help it. I have been through too much of this over the last 15 years.

It was mentioned during the game, "The Chargers always seem to have a great quarterback. Whether it's Fouts, Rivers, and now Herbert." All I could think at that point was, "Yeah, and it looks like we're on the path of not winning a Super Bowl with Herbert, either."

Enough is enough. This franchise has to be run by someone else.

I know. However New Orleans didn't have family members running scouting department and making personnel decisions.

Benson in his old age actually ended up firing the kid and two grandchildren in the front office and writing them out of his will because they had a sense of entitlement and were not good stewards for the Saints and Pelicans future. They of course sued him. LOL.

I don't think Payton would want to work for Spanos since they are so embedded into the front office, personnel and roster decisions.
Who has it better than us?

Those guys would work for me. The problem is, who would make the coaching decisions? The GM? If it's still TT, forget it, don't trust him to make the choices. If it was up to Staley and he decided to keep everyone, he's not the right coach, either. Honestly, this team just keeps the depression coming. I know everyone thinks Herbert had a great game, but to me he doesn't look like his old self. This team will ruin him if they don't make some major changes in a hurry.
