I mean, for Herbert I want to see us in the playoffs. But, hell, not with this crappy version of the Chargers.

The best thing to do would be to signal to Herbert that a major change is coming with the coaching. Start talks with someone like Payton right now - don't wait.

Chargers aren't going to anything this season either way. Herbert needs to know a shift to winning culture is coming even if missing playoffs for a 3rd season is on the table.

Do the spanos have the guts to finally give up the reigns and spend the money necessary?
