Titans @ Chargers Pre Game Thread | (Wk 15)

Have you watched the Titans play? I've seen those stats as well and they just don't do justice to what that defense is like when actually watching the games. I went back and watched them vs Jacksonsville last week and yeah they lost but that game was a physical bloodbath. The Titans always have a stretch every season where they lose to bad teams but Vrabel always gets things turned around.

Like I said before, the Titans like to bully teams. Did anybody on Jax get injured that game?

I dread the idea of trying to stop their running game. We'll need a big advantage in the time of possession and that's hard to pull off against a team that lives by the run. I sure don't know how to do it, but I didn't have a clue how to contain the Dolphins speedy pass game last week either - but we did it. So, I'm looking for a different kind of magic by the defense this week.

Because the Titans went away from the run game because they were down two scores?

I cannot believe that I am trying to convince people on a football forum that the Titans are a threat in the run game. Stupefying.

I think the GM firing had more to do with the OC getting a DUI after the team flight the week previous. He was given an extension after trading AJ Brown & the owner had already decided to fire him before that game. It makes little sense that it had much to do with personnel.

I believe they currently have the longest active streak of games with a sack. They were really good at getting after quarterbacks for most of the season but only have three sacks during the three game losing streak. Denico Autrey and Jeffrey Simmons are very good players and Rashad Weaver and Demarcus Walker each have at least 4.5 sacks as well. They're pretty week on the back-end though, so this is probably another game where Lombardi needs to design some rollouts for Herbert.

In general, I'm not afraid of the Titans on paper but they're a very well-coached and proud team that's on a losing streak with the last two being embarrassments. Sounds like a recipe for a bounce back. They're not going to shit the bed like the Dolphins, we're going to have to take this one from them.

Two days ago, Derrick Henry rushed 9 times for 78 yards and a TD in the first quarter.

He had a good game. 1st one over 100 yds in last 5 weeks, since Nov 6. Den, GB, Cin, Phi didn't let him get much.
He's good, we usually suck vs run but we did post 3 Ws vs teams that have a better rushing attack.
Season stats and last game production for both teams point to a Bolts W.
All that doesn't mean jack for 1 game. S*** happens. Preferably to them.
