Poll: Do You Trust Ownership's Methods To Win?

Admin: Original title: "W/ No Payton Interest Do You Have Any Trust In Ownerships Methods To Win?"

    Also made poll public.
    --

I feel like the decision to keep Staley is an indictment on ownership. How are we feeling around here ?

I have also seen a few posters and people other places expressing that they had reached their limit and are going to try to quit the team altogether. Which posters fall in this category and maybe their feelings should also be gathered in a thread somewhere just for the record.

Yeah this ownership is too cheap and stupid to ever make it to a Superbowl.Only chance we as fans would have to reaching that dream is if somehow they stumbled and bubbled into hiring a Payton or Harbaugh. The type of coach that is the anti Staley,an alpha type a guy that won't put up with loser half pint owner sons getting in the way of actual men trynna win football games.Schotty was the last time that happened. But thats been awhile huh?Forecast looks short with a possible chance of balding.Sad.

Cuz the 1st round pick Staley and Telesco are gonna grab is definitely gonna have way more impact to the success of this team compared to hiring Payton.

The only way is if they hired some super cheap yes man like TT and Staley and both turned out to be a great coach and great GM, but we all know that is not going to happen.....

NFL needs to increase cap and include coaches as part of the CAP(becauase currently coaching money comes out of owners pockets which is why the great franchisees have great coaches)......Coaching is the MOST IMPORTANT AND INFLUENTIAL FACTOR IN WINNING FOOTBALL and in competing consistently every week.....

Look at how well 49ers do no matter how many ionjuries they get .....Shanahan is such a great coach it does not matter...he has a 7th round last pick in draft QB looking like Joe Montana...... imagine what a great coach like him could do with Herbert????

It *is* starting over. Which is exactly what I think this team needs. But not just to hire hot-coordinator-of-the-month again. Get a proven winner who ASSUMES FULL CONTROL and let him do his thing to change the loser culture that is the hallmark of a Spanos-owned team.

Who said that most NFL owners aren't committed to winning?

The Bengals have gone for years w/cheap, incompetent owners.

The Brown family. Hellfire, they/ve hired a Shula for HC that wasn't named Don.

They kept the marginally competent Defensive "whiz" Marvin Lewis as HC who
                        went 0-7 in playoff games.

Yet, they've been to 3 SB's; all close losses; and their fans supported building a
new stadium;.Their "old" multiple use "Riverfront Stadium" was built in '70-3/4 years
                        after San Diego/Jack Murphy/Qualcomm.

Look...my son and I have flown across the country over decades to see our team,
The Chargers. We're as disappointed as Hell over last Saturday, as we were '06,
'04, '95, '92, and myriad "games from Hell" before that.

But...we're not bailing now; or ever.

                        Keep the faith...
