I'm in Palm Springs and it was obvious this temblor was close. Saying it was out of Banning - 4.8. That was loud!

San Diego now has something else in common to OK ... there were Tornado Warnings in Escondido and the Miramar area yesterday. I've never heard of one previously, even though we've had severe thunderstorm warnings.

I did some web searching and I guess volcanic regions can have swarms that dwarf those Oklahoma numbers. Something like 600 in a 36 hour period for the Mammoth Lakes region recently. http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/l...926-story.html But the size of the quakes in that swarm didn't hit the highs of the recent Oklahoma swarm. And I don't think there's any volcanic issues going on in Oklahoma like there is in Mammoth Lakes. So maybe it's a high number considering what's NOT there (in Oklahoma).
