I used to undervalue the wide receiver position. But, when the o-line is total shit, a team needs players who can get open fast.

It's not just that he gets open fast, but he threatens the D downfield. If they have to double Allen, that is another player who can't blitz, or won't blitz as often.

Has anyone looked at Allen's game logs? In 2015, He had 3 monster games with more than 100 yds that inflated his stats. He also had 2 stinkers immediate following 2 big games and the rest pretty average for a possession WR. Same thing in 2014, he had a couple really big games to inflate overall stats mixed with a couple 2 catch games and a bunch around 5 catches. I like his play overall, but it could be more consistent before I think of him as a Pro Bowl guy. Kinda similar production in a way that VJ gave our offense, even though they are different type WRs.

I hear what you are saying put if we are breaking down our best receiver what does it say about the rest of our receivers. Add to the list of positions to fill not like we didn't know we need a receiver, but the question is how high of a priority you make that position when we have so many others to fill?
