could Tre Harris and KLS turn into instant all-pro's? sure, and i would like that, but the betting money is not on that happening in 2025.

the NFL is a big man's game - until you do it here, you haven't done it. that is true for every player.

we got lucky with Ladd, he was solid gold in year 1 - that is rare!!

He's not as bad as some make him out to be. Although he hasn't played up to a first-round pick, and I'm not confident that he'll make it to a second contract with us, he's made some plays, and I'm rooting for him. I'm not rooting for him over our two draft picks, as I want the best players to show themselves for us, but I will never turn my back on a stand-up guy who has worked his ass off to get better in the way Johnston has since he was drafted.

I am having increasing trouble rooting for KLS after he's turned into a fat-ass tub of lard sloth. Still surprised the coach said that about him. but its hard to root for that when Q is busting his ass day in day out

(kid) I wish them all well and hope we have too many good receivers.

There's a chance of that. The practice pics show Rice and Reagor making good catches among others.

It's not that big of a deal to me that Lal said that Tre and Lambert-Smith came in out of shape. At the same time, I don't get it. I guess we can attribute it to young guys being stupid, and let's hope they've learned from it.

For the record, when I say I'm not rooting for Johnston over the two rookies, I mean I'm rooting for them all equally. I just want the best players to earn their spots. Admittedly, though, Johnston's exemplary effort to get better will make me happier to see him succeed than I would for a David Boston type of player.

I'm just ribbing KLS (and Trey) a little bit. all in good fun, not worried that 20 yo pro athletes won't be able to get in shape.

My impression was that Lal liked all the work being put in by the other WRs at OTAs and more while our draft picks were somewhere else. No way he's putting them down, rather pointing out that they have a lot of work ahead with Ben Herbert, the coaches, teammates and Lal.

I know you’re exaggerating but I’m glad Sanjay called them out and set expectations.

Interesting that nobody called out Hampton, Kennard, Gadsen, and the other picks conditioning. Just the WR’s.

Probably because the only position coach at the podium was the WR coach, and those are the only rookies he coaches and comments on.

I also don't think he was really calling them out on how they approach conditioning, more stating the reality that rookies who have been on the draft interview circuit flying all over for a couple of months and havent been focused on training like the veterans have, usually start the off season program a little behind in that area.

I am sure in another 6 weeks when training camp kicks in for real Tre Harris and KLS will be catching up to the pack now that they are training full time like everyone else

I was totally joking - KLS isn't a fat tub of goo. maybe he needs to work the conditioning some, thats no big deal.

I wondered that too. Hampton looks like he's in ridiculous beast shape though - dude would shatter diamond chisels if they even dared to sculpt on his rock body. I haven't heard about the others though. Maybe they werent invited to the banquets.

Did they ask their coaches? I don't know if they were at the podium or not since I'm not paying much attention to OTAs

Its no big deal imo. Used to be TC was where you got in shape before it became a year round thing so if they are working on it now, by preseason they should be fine.
They got them 2 a days coming lol
