yeah its what i am saying. Everybody focus on his medoicre arm, but this dood can win games. If the worst case scenario happens and Herb misses games, Max Duggan will grind out some W's

Someone did post this video earlier in this thread.

Duggan is 6-2, 210 and ran a 4.52 40 at the Combine, the 2nd fastest time for a QB behind Anthony Richardson's 4.4
Isiah Spiller is listed at 6-1, 215, and ran the 40 in 4.63 at the Combine last year.
Taysom Hill is listed at 6-1, 220 and ran a 4.46 40 at this Pro Day in 2017
Melvin Gordon entered the NFL in 2015 at 6-1, 215 and ran a 4.52 at the Combine.

Again, Spiller didn't run at the combine or his pro day so not sure what his time is. Not sure how the 4.63 came about. I see someone posted it from NFL Network but where did they time him at? It wasn't at those events. It just says scouts clocked him......but when?

I know he isn't a burner so not expecting a 4.4. We can see he isn't that fast,.... I'd have guessed 4.5's.
His game is quickness with his size and make you miss like LaGarett Blount...though I think Blount was a little bigger.

I know your point is about using Duggan as Taysom Hill but we'll see on that. He is going to be 3rd string but maybe Moore is way more incentive than Lombardi. Lord I hope so!

IMO, Max Duggan was drafted to function as the scout team QB. A QB who has the jets, to escape the pocket and have the speed to get to the corner - and then outrun defenders who can't even close distance on Duggan - has immense value as your opponent on the scout team.

Quick Tim Tebow scout team story. Tebow was asked to run the scout team. Pretty simple concept: you run the opponents' staple plays in live exercises with the first string defense. Tebow disregarded the playcall and took off and tried to score. He was replaced on the scout team.

Just to be clear, Max Duggan is not going to do what Tebow did. Not today, not ever.

Stick (who played real low competition in college) has NEVER looked good in NFL even against 3rd and 4th stringers.....

Duggan was drafted because he won games against tough college teams.... not DIV 2 or 3...

Duggan will end up being a great backup NFL QB..... he's a guy who can come off the bench and be a spark and actually make plays.....unlike stick who cannot do anything well???

I fail to understand any love the chargers have in him unless he is so cheap they love him??? ...other teams backup QB's actually make plays.....

You guys seen the tape on Duggan rushing? 9 rushing TDs for the season. Duggan is a viable threat in the red zone running. This could be crucial in the event Herbert gets hurt.

That's what I've been saying. Dude has wheels. I wonder if Moore has some goal-line packages for him in mind.

IMO, Duggan was brought in because he ran a spread offense at TCU.
With the drafting of WR's (instead of RB's and TE's)... I bet the Chargers start running a spread offense.
Duggan will be there so Herbie can pick his brain during TC... and into the season.
Moore's offense will be very different than Lombardi's.
                  Protect the QB
                  Run the ball
                  Play great defense

Last few preseasons it was Chase Daniel or Geno Smith taking preseason game snaps. At last, this preseason Stick will get a lot of snaps under center, Duggan too. Finally!

Impressive. I like his size+speed combo.

Agree. I’ve been done with Stick for a couple years. Chargers gave him a significant raise this off season, don’t know why
