Only a seventh and i think he will be the intended backup. I expect they will keep going after Kap and might even try to jump up to get a qb in the first since they have extra picks with the comp picks now out.

Sanchez is better than Kaepernick or however he spells his name.

Sanchez was mediocre at his peak six years ago.

He couldn't be worse than Manning last year though. But he won't have the same defense carrying that team this year.

I think they'll be looking for more of a pocket passer like Manning, Osweiler, Sanchez for continuity, rather than a mobile QB like Kap or RG111. Are there any Texans or Titans castoffs floating around out there that have starting experience but haven't been on the national radar? The defense will probably carry that team for another 1-2 years so all they need is veteran competent game manager type QBs while they draft and groom a young QB to take over. Doesn't seem like Kubiak's offense is all that complex to run so having a "franchise" QB quickly is less of a concern. Maybe I'm wrong.

Kaep could actually fill their "bootleg" action stuff pretty well.

But there defense won't be as good, so it's not going to matter.

The Malik Jackson loss alone was pretty tough.

but Elway has the "master plan".....and has that "magic" touch that will fix it all. IMO i think Elway's best move was nabbing Manning and getting lucky at it that he was even available. He's gone heavy on D and its payed off....its hard to keep that up in the long haul though and I get the feeling their cap situation is going to give them headaches. Throw in getting Wade and all the stars lined up. I think it will be hard to maintain as players defect and you lose your HOF QB. I'd love a Sanchez or Kap starting.....they are not half the talent of Manning from a field general perspective even though Manning lost his physical skills he at least made generally good decisions.

I can see denver trying to move up to grab a QB. They can likely get the #3 or #4 QB would be my guess at 31. Throw in a 2 to move up into the middle and they can get the #3. Use Sanchez to start the season and see how the new kid develops. Then again....they may just decide to go after a 2nd tier QB in Kap or other and bet their D can win them games again.
