    OT: Advocare article ESPN

I have to say I am a bit disappointed in both Rivers and Brees for associating with this company. It's basically an Amway pyramid scheme where you push product on your friends and relatives. Still not clear what the difference is between multi-level marketing and a pyramid scheme is.

I can't really figure it out either. I had a friend doing Mary Kay, and she kept trying to explain why it wasn't a pyramid scheme.. But it's exactly what she kept describing.

So many of these things still around, because young people won't ever listen to older people.

I'm surprised by Rivers, but didn't Brees file a lawsuit against his own mother for profiting from his image

              Meh, whatever. It's a paycheck.

People do Arbonne and all that. Good for them if they can make it work. If they can't probably should have known better.

From what I gather the difference is if they are actually selling a marketable product they are not considered a pyramid scheme legally. To me that doesn't really make a difference.

If the product was so great they would make more money selling it traditionally rather then preying on people claiming they have a business opportunity for them.

From watching Rivers commercial I think he buys the company image (referencing Faith, family, and football) and he says he uses the prodcuts. Maybe Brees introduced him to it.

It's unemployment control. If you can walk and chew gum and are crazy enough to be a 1099 "employee"...
