    NFL bans all chop blocks

Considering this big strong olinemen are going to be in high demand over smaller quicker olinemen.

I think this helps us with our big ugly oline!

About freaking time. All the needless knee injuries that so many players suffered because they didn't outlaw this much earlier!

Funny, this morning on Mike and Mike they were showing examples of "illegal chop blocks" and they used the Broncos as examples.

Kubiak won't like this rule change.

They waited until after the Donkeys and the sexual assaulter won another Super Bowl. Now that it looks like the Donkeys aren't going anywhere, the league will enforce some shit. Later, when the Donkeys are ready to make another run, the refs will slack off on enforcement.

pussies. I vote we go back and retroactively apply some chop blocks to Manning and Brady before the rule goes into effect.

What was illegal before? You couldn't chop a defender if they were already engaged up top?

So now you can't throw a block below the waist at all?

I think there were certain rules of engagement that allowed for a chop block.

I must admit, I am confused too, because the examples they showed... just showed the rule that I thought was already in place?

This is ok, this is not. But it was already illegal to chop someone who was engaged. From what Golic showed this morning (which could be incorrect, because he isn't a rocket scientist), a regular chop block on a backside guy who isn't engaged is still allowed.

I don't know, evidently I'm no genius, either.

....and all Denver D Linemen must absorb 4 chop blocks each before the first flag is thrown so the rest of the league can catch up
