    Brees is #3 and Rivers is #6 in all time passing yards. Taking into account how the modern game favors QBs compared to the past, Dan Fouts is usually in the top 20 all time. The thing that pulls them down is the lack of a single Lombardi.

      However, LAR? WAS? OAK?

      Its hard to beat the combination of: Hadl / Fouts / Humphreys / Brees / Rivers / Herbert.
      I'm not counting 1 good year at the tail end types (Hadl/Stafford with the Rams)

      Oakland: Lamonica / Stabler / Gannon / Carr / crap
      WAS: Baugh / Jurgenson / Theisman / crap
      LAR: Waterfield / Van Buren / Roman Gabriel / Warner / crap

      Did I miss anyone?
      How about this.

        I finished watching it. I agree with the top three: Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis/Baltimore Colts, San Francisco 49ers. You can make a case for any of them being the best.

        I don't have an issue with the Rams' ranking. They have three Hall of Famers at the position (Kurt Warner, Norm Van Brocklin, and Bob Waterfield). We have one so far. Three of their quarterbacks were league MVPs (Warner, Waterfield, and Roman Gabriel). We have none. They didn't mention Matthew Stafford, which was weird, but he won a Super Bowl with the Rams.Marc Bulger was a pretty good quarterback for them over a handful of years. Everett had some embarrassing moments, but he made a Pro Bowl and finished with the most touchdown passes in 1988 and 1989. Overall he had a better run with the Rams than Brees had with us. Jared Goff had two very good years (2017 and 2018) and got them to a Super Bowl. He wasn't Ryan Leaf.

          Here is a top 25 list from NFL.com
          Elliot Harrison unveils his ranking of the top 25 quarterbacks of all time. The players occupying the top spots on the list won't surprise you, but how does the rest of the pecking order shake out?

          Fouts in not on it;
          Rivers is not on it;
          only Brees at #6, and he is there because of his body of work in New Orleans.

          I'm a Fouts fan, and even bigger Rivers fan ..... most people don't think so highly about their skills.

              I went back and looked at the stats from when waterfield and van brocklin shared time on the Rams (4 - 5 years).
              Both were selected to the pro bowl in 1950 & 51: Waterfield started and seems like Van Brocklin came off the bench.

              Interesting.

              Gives me ideas about Herbert & Duggan.

                This is an arbitrary list put together by one writer, it's not a consensus by the NFL or a team of analysts. It's just one guy's opinion. I'd be willing to bet that you could come up with a more accurate ranking if you sat down to do it.

                  I hate having to go back and remind people of the language I employed:

                  "I would guess the lack of a clear cut all time top 20 qb pulls them down."

                  I'm sure there are a few rankings where Fouts sneaks into the top 20.

                    I've heard some excuses for never winning a Super Bowl before, but this may take the cake. Too funny!

                      I just learned that Enos the Chimp, the first North American astronaut to orbit Earth, died at the age of 5 from Shingellosis.
                      He heroically performed all his tasks correctly under very difficult circumstances on that historic mission

                      So sad!

                      Enos is the one on the right here.

                        What’s funny is that nfl fans especially from successful franchises think the nfl doesn’t control the narrative. It would be foolish to think they decide who is going to win but you can’t deny they are in the business to make money and the best way to do that is sell their most profitable products

                          So, you are not suggesting they rig the actual Super Bowl game itself, but you are saying they rig the whole season, to make sure to get the more "profitable" teams in the playoffs and Super Bowl.

                          This kind of reminds me of Bears fans practicing their excuses before every season.
