Re Leonard - He stood out to me. He made enough good plays that I found myself saying "There he is again". I sure hope they can keep him.

Henley is another defender who caught my eye. I think he'll be our best LB by the end of the year.

Just got to watch the game replay in 40mins so forgive me if this is way off base

I liked Horvath blocking in FB. I saw some nasty
I liked Dotson running inside. Dude has agility that Kelley and Spiller dont
I loved DD jet sweep. that cut was savage
I liked AJ Finley #24. He makes the tackles JT Woods doesnt

Also really impressed with the depth Chargers have right now. Can we trade Hopkins to SF for a draft pick?

I was wondering why he hasn't been traded yet. Maybe there are multiple teams that need a kicker?

Then he went in motion and lined up behind LT.

On the snap he sprinted back across the line to the gap between RG/RT and blocked Fred Warner's backup, Demetrius Flanigan-Fowles. out of the play.

Kelley was right on his heels and burst through hole.

John Hightower ran to that spot as if he was supposed to make a block there, but when Kelley came blasting through the hole, he turned and got in the way of 49ers' CB Charvarius Ward just enough so that Kelley could keep running. Ward got a hand on Kelley but it was too little too late.

Then 49ers' #3 FS Tayler Hawkins had a shot at him, but Kelley made him miss. Hawkins took a bad angle, as if he underestimated Kelley's speed and at the point of contact Kelley was almost by him.

It was a well-executed play. Kelley's burst was impressive, as was his top end speed. Ward and RCB Lenoir could not run Kelley down.

Kelley looks thicker to me from the waist down than I remember. Also, he is pretty buff up top too. He looks like he's been spending some serious time in the weight room. I am looking forward to watching him play.

Classic Moore rush play design, move the TE back into the backfield and then shift/motion him and gain the advantage of a bigger better blocking lead FB. Defense has to respect the extra receiver on the field up until the play is snapped.

I wondered if Spiller would surpass Kelley, i don’t think he did. There is zero chance Dotson passed either of them - forget it dotheads, it’s not gonna happen. I think odds he is on the 53 are low right now, personally.

RBs are a dime a dozen, you can find 3 great RBs working behind the average rental car counter.

Now Stick and Wentz are both busts but Wentz had a rise and fall. Stick just flat lined in the NFL.
Tell me the greatest talent evaluator you have ever seen and I will tell you a shitty pick he made. I will find a 6th round pick that was a bust within 10 min. Making a shitty pick is par for the course for every talent picker, especially late rounds.

We’ve covered this many many times. He wasn’t a no brainer for many people here. hindsight is just always bullshit, ain’t it?

If you worked in your Dad’s auto shop for 25 years, I’d bet you know more about auto shops than some dill weed on the internet who talks about auto shops.

Some guys here are so full of themselves, it’s hilarious. JJ has worked for the Chargers since the 90s, in the front office, in the scout rooms, in the draft rooms, in the negotiations, in everything - but he doesn’t know as much about the NFL as the guy who played WR at a JuCo 40 yrs ago.

                  Amiright or what?

You got to know something about cars and not just about billing or looking up part numbers to order lol.

Jerry Jones has owned his team since the 80's and decided he wants to be the GM because Jimmy made it look easy and Jones loved giving out info on team transactions that Jimmy did wanting others to think it was his decision. That's just one of the reasons they had a falling out.

He is awful at being a GM and did a stupid thing trading for Lance without informing his HC or top QB. So no, you aren't necessary right.

Just because your daddy can give you a position doesn't mean you have a scouts eye, or know how to do anything well.
He is a business guy and sorry, if Dean turns it all over to him, this team is really doomed . He should sit back and let football people do things and he should answer phones.

And I didn't play WR lol.
But i do know that guy has no credibility in the league. Hec Dean hardly has any.

Lots of kids follow in their Daddy's footsteps and many aren't as good. Not that Dean is good at it.

And running that offense we saw late in the 4th quarter to close out games.
Kellen Moore has brought something here with this drive blocking and RPO.
                      We can now close games.
I like what I saw from Stone Smartt this preseason. He had an instrumental block to help spring Kelly for the 75 yard TD. Actually decent blocking this preseason overall. Has got "smarts" aka football IQ. A former college QB while being a legit rushing threat. In terms of RPO I'd like to incorporate him to really fool defenses.

I think he passes McKitty in the depth charts.

Staley has a golden opportunity to really send a message by cutting McKitty.
draft capital spent on you will not guarantee you a roster spot.
everyone should be competing all of the time and visual evidence of progress is required.

                        I hope he seizes it.
if we want to keep 4 TEs, I'd consider Everett, Parham, Smartt and Kampmoyer or someone from the waiver wire.

Ok, I’ll fix it. If you work in the auto shop office, you will know more about running an auto shop office, which then runs the auto shop, than some dill weed on the internet who talks about running an auto shop office. You don’t have to know how to actually rebuild a fuel injection system, just like you don’t have to actually be able to physically play professional football.

Do you think the Chargers are any good today? Do you think the staff is any good today? If you do, then autoshopofficekid must know something because he’s in charge. If you don’t then you could be right.

I think the team is good, i think the staff is good, so I think you’re wrong and the kid has gotten a lot better. I do think it took the kid and many years to improve their craft though. Prior to kid 101 and advanced course - Dean was running things and I think Dean was an epic dumbfuck. Dean was also a pussy, thats a bad combo. People are scarred by the Dean era. I see a lot of improvement as kid has come of age and begun to assert himself. The lows don’t dip nearly as far, and I think he’s about to enter a good streak.

Dean is now off fucking up larger business related partnerships and deals, he’s not any doing day-to-day team organization work anymore. Thank god.

Jerry Jones is a douchebag, the kids are not douchebags. Not a fair comparison imo.
