Why do we beg them not to throw deep when they clearly can still throw and complete deep?

I've been looking for Herbert to take that next step to true elite level play, but I've noticed his passion/abilities seemingly waning since the latter part of the '21 season.

I truly don't understand why Staley cannot figure out how to coach an effective 3rd down D. And don't say, "This is the Chiefs! What do you expect" as his D sucks on 3rd down against EVERY team, including the Titans.

Well, it's not an easy thing to do, coaching in the NFL - and when you suck... you suck.

I've just been noticing Db's lined up 10-12 yards off the ball way too often. It may not be a prevent defense but it's basically pitch and catch with no route disruption to mess up the timing.

I'm really not sure why he seems to keep playing his Db's like this regardless of opponent.

Staley is absolute garbage. He hasn't learned a damn thing, or he's just oblivious and believing his own lies about the "success" of his defense. Kelce wide open, corners playing still playing way off the ball...

It’s just so much easier for the chiefs

thats what good coaching does..... and only a lyucky penalty prevented the previouys long TD......

So Staley is coaching our guys to not give up explosive plays..... 1 quarter and 3 explosives so far..... good job Staley.....
