I think I may have asked this before. But the difference between buying this unit and setting up your own kodi box is the curated streams speedaddy provides?

I cut the cord last year, and my hd antenna is not very great where I live. Been flirting with the idea of making a kodi box or jail breaking an amazon fire stick.

The difference is streamsmart automatically gets you the best of Kodi with out you having to stay on top of all the different add ons and they put it in a well organized visually appealing format. There is also premium add ons you get access to on streamsmart that don't require subscriptions that you won't get elsewhere...these are especially helpful for sports and ppv viewing experience. Even in the early days as a pretty tech savy guy I couldn't set up kodi on my other devices to get all the content that I get on my stream smart....these guys are tapped in to the scene and do all the work for you. As certain add on get worse or shut down stream smart updates to get rid of those and give you the hot new add ons.

The biggest difference is the premium add-ons that on a regular Kodi build would cost you around $15-$20 a month, StreamSmart offers six of them for free. Those add-ons get you stable and reliable streams. That's over $100 a month for free on StreamSmart only.

Then of course as Blaise said the updates, Kodi changes so much that daily updates are required. We handle all of that for you!

Links are usually 720p for football.

What are links in this case? Everything else including nfl games are in 1080p or at least 1080i as long as that is the original resolution?

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking but the streams are in 720p and 1080p. There is also movies in 4k.
