He play best in the zone and having a free safety at the next tier is almost a prerequisite for the set up. If he does get beat on a double and get burn which means they play him man on man, I think they deserve to be burn at that point. Probably Jameson will be the culprit.

Are you sure it doesn’t apply to a lot of guys and a lot of teams? Hutchinson got his 4.5 sacks in 3 games, in 5 games he had zero. He hasnt had a single sack in the last 3 games. He has a whopping 23 tackles on the season. Detroit as a team had 6 sacks vs LVR, 7 vs ALT, 5 vs NYG … but zero vs BAL. 1 vs TB and CAR… etc. Overall they have 21 and they have played a weaker strength of schedule, we have 31. We could play this number game all week probably …

My Chargers are showing up tomorrow, I’m gonna be proud of our boys

I think they'll be better than that but the offense really does have problems and it's gonna be a struggle every week for them. They just don't have anything defenses need to worry about. They need to be like the steelers....hope the defense can play good enough to give them a chance then be good on offense when it really matters at the end of the game.
Just out of curiosity, was the Chargers offense an embarrassment more with a 27 - 6 win over the Jest or is it more embarrassing for the Chefs to beat the Jest 23 - 20 while needing help several times by the refs to call/not call on crucial plays to make sure the win happens? Chargers scored 4 more points, Myhommy must have been so embarrassed I am surprised he showed his face next week on Sunday.

let’s ask Hurts and Allen next. oh, does the crowd know how those games went for those offensive icons?

When they played the Jets the Chiefs had over 400 yds offense, ran the ball for 204 yds, and drove the length of the field twice in the 1st quarter to take a 14-0 lead. After that the game was really never in doubt. The chiefs had more rushing yds vs the Jets then this Telesco offense had total yards against them lol

When Philly played them they had 348 yds and were 7-14 on 3rd down.

So yeah, they won the game due to an awesome defensive performance but 197 yards offense probably ranks as top 10 worst for any offense in any game this season & will get you beat 99 out of 100 times in the NFL.

And yet they both scored less points. Philly lost.

                1rst quarters are great.
From your description, I almost forgot that it was tied going into the 4rth quarter and that the Jets had the ball and a chance to win at the end.

It does appear that teams are 'fattening up' on the weak sisters . . . . . . . . . . . . much has been made of our sack totals, but we need to be more effective against good offenses (just like the Lions apparently). So - who has the advantage? Or to put it another way - who's offensive line is better?

They have Keenan, Everett and Ekeler and if Moore pulls his head out of his ass they have QJ, DD and Parham. All good options for Herbert. And Herbert has to return to form

What works? Running game if you can get it going. The Jets were giving up 144 yards per game through the ground. Unfortunately for us that requires
good run blocking which unfortunately we do not have.
Yeah the way they use their front 4 should create gaps for run plays. In hindsight any plays going lateral works to their defensive advantage.

But eh...we found other ways to win the game.
