So if we had the option of winning the SB and then losing the team to LA...where Spanos is probably laughing his ass off at SD...or getting a new owner who keeps the team in Diego and puts up the money for the stadium do fans still take the superbowl?

There's still a chance the California Supreme Court will uphold the 50%+1 ruling so if they meet that percentage, they're going to stick around for that. And there have been rumors for a while that they might come up with a different proposal for a special election next year. If they win a SB this year, you're going to see EVERYONE bandwagon and when that happens, you'll see these weenie politicians change their tune.

Unless they get destroyed in the election, they're not going to LA. The NFL wants them to stay here and the NFL pretty much always gets what it wants.

I despise the Spanos clan, but I picked the first option for two reasons:

1. You never, ever turn down a Super Bowl victory.

2. The Chargers winning a championship with the Spanos family at the helm would only be possible if they changed their attitude, their priorities and the way they do business - which means we wouldn't need a new owner anymore.
