Canepa knows - he has been around the Chargers for years

    Couldn't stand Gilbride

And thats a pretty good assessment - Dean Spanos looks dim-witted.

Canepa is kind of funny sometimes...he referred to Archie and Eli Manning as Archie and Jughead...

Telesco was in Indy with Polian and made the same mistake there Peyton Manning covered up a terrible team in Indy that got outclassed physically almost every year. The year Manning sat out they went 2-14.

Just a soft finesse team that gets beaten down by the slightest amount of physicality - can't stop the run, can't stop the pass, can't protect the passer, can't run the ball, and injured all the time.

Until we get the stink of Telesco out of this building it's gonna continue.
AGREEEEEE!!!!!!!....... this team cannot do basic things block and tackle..... this has been lost since Marty and Ross.... marty was the best at the basics and fundamentals....but way too conservative to Ross was strong on that but also realized you have to attack and go for the juggler when other team is not expecting it...

TT seems like he looks for starters in first round but only looks for great ST's players after the first round acting like the Chargers were so loaded with talent that no other draft choices could crack starting lineup..???????

most good organizatins find starters(or soon to be starters) in first 3 rounds.... then depth after that....

Chargers have had a stupid approach for a long time!!!!

It's so obvious Jim Harbaugh should be the next Head Coach here! You have Herbert who most good coaches would love to coach, and Harbaugh has already sent out the signal! Give Justin the top tier HC now and stop being stupid! If the Spanos blow this and hire another flavor of the month coordinator who talks a good game that needs a few years to come into their own when they could hire JH they really are the most inept owners in the league! Detroit's OC, Moore no thank you! I'm hoping since they didn't fire Staley after the Packers game and name Moore the HC this is the plan!

Harbaugh will probably bring in innovation if he comes back into the league. Afterall, Harbaugh is who you have to thank for Lamar's MVP season, and the Vic Fangio scheme. He brought both Fangio as DC and Roman as OC of the 49ers in early 2010s. For a time, those 49ers were dominating the league for the most part, and then once Harbaugh departed, their influence was and is still felt all over the league, just elsewhere. Roman is the reason why teams still pine for dual-threat QBs, and Fangio is the reason why most of the league is running 2-high safety shell defensive schemes.

Ironically, you can indirectly blame Harbaugh for creating a Brandon Staley. More irony would be if Harbaugh comes to coach the Chargers after Staley is fired just to blow up everything he contributed in creating previously in the early 2010s by bringing in another new, fresh approach.

I DID say they were SOFT . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Like military units football teams eventually take on the personality of their leadership, in this case HC, GM and ownership, so can we be surprised that this team is physically and mentally SOFT?

This is how the Spanos should approach Harbaugh's agent: "We really would love to pair Harbaugh with Herbert and we'd love to have him in Los Angeles! What would he want for a five year contract? As soon as his agent gave his number the answer back should be: DONE!

Yep it will be between the raiders, bears and Chargers, maybe Arizona!

If we are looking at Moore vs Reid, Payton, Harbaugh next season: everything about the Spanos that is written and said is true!

I grew up in Mississippi and was a big Ole Miss and Archie Manning fan. Came to San Diego in the Navy in 1970. Only guy in my entire Orlando, FL boot camp class who come West.

I turned on the Mannings when they didn't want Eli to play for the Chargers. I believed it was bad for the game, not just because I was a Chargers fan. That said, his not wanting to play for us worked out extremely well for us.

Head Coach and defensive scheme. Doesn't utilize the players skills at what they do best.....imo.
