Wow, what an unimpressive roster. This team is going to have a tough time competing again in the AFC west. Wonder if we can beat any of those teams this year.

I don't see them keeping Bercovici on the 53, swap him for Swain. Then again, some teams are desperate for QBs.

I like bercovici, but I'm more into trading 3 #1 to trade up To get a potential stud at qb. You don't win a SB with a Bercivici.

I think Berovici will get resigned as the season goes on, once roster spots open up due to injuries. Teams are QB desperate, but since about 2/3 of the teams only carry 2, he is in no danger of taking someone's place now. Besides guys like Suffield (Redskins) had far better preseasons if you are looking for a young 2nd/3rd QB.

The problem with QB is it takes the time to develop them and at this point teams can't develop QB. Berovici needs a lot of reps in a pro style offense, and unfortunately, he just isn't going to get them. Under today's rules, I am not sure Brady would have been kept, even by NE.

I say this every year, but the NFL needs a developmental league of some sort. Watching preseason, I see so many guys who are as physically talented, if not more talented than the guys playing in the league, but are way to raw to stick with a team. They get almost no practice time with the team during the year, because there is no development space on teams for players. Even the practice squad is only a stashing spot. NFL teams don't practice much technique during the season. It is all about getting ready for games. And with preseason games being minimialized to protect players health, that has always been a major part of player development in the NFL, may be going away too.

The NFLPA is the worst thing that has happened to the league and it will eventually be what destroys it.

I was listening to the radio broadcast of the game and Hardwick mentioned players like Tourek and Stevie Williams were probably going to make the initial 53 man cut but their biggest competition is going to be the "unknown" players who get cut from other teams.

I think Watt is the better receiver and Swain the better runner. Watt the better blocker. We used to dump balls off to LoNeal. I wonder if they feel that the 2 combined gives us that LoNeal type production in the passing game only upgrading the goal line runs. Because i like the idea of Swain on the gl. He was an effective rusher in college.
