Ive never seen the D look like that even in preseason. And it all starts with Mebane collapsing the pocket. Which is something im not used to seeing.

We need more inside pass rush from Mebane, Philon and the bonus baby Liuget. The 3 of them, plus Bosa if he ever gets his ass into camp.

Yuba was never a fan of smaller NT like Mebane. He wants the big fat guys who are worthless.

The run D was a lot better tonight. Still has a ways to go, but much better. Guys getting off the ball low, staying square and then squeezing down the holes. But they need to keep it up.

The run blocking this week was not nearly good enough.

I think he thought we ran a 2 gap 34. Mebane is going to help this team a lot this year. You hear about his speech before the game and that got me pumped up. This defense needs a vocal leader.

I agree about the leadership, but I did think that Mebane's presence would have helped prior to Tenn. Add that to Pagano's end of the season interview on chargers.com, where he points out that the Chargers had games last year where players had a hard time lining up correctly and other basic mistakes, and the players inability to play the run really couldn't have been worse.

When Terrance "Pot Roast" Knighton gets cut by NE, because he is way, way too fat to play in the NFL, I expect quite a few talking heads to recommend him for us, and sliding Mebane over to play DE. BUt despite having lost 40-50 pounds this offseason, the guy is still too fat to get in a stance and is getting his ass kicked by 2nd and 3rd team OL in the 2 preseason games he has played so far. I expect a lot of people still think that size is one of the most important qualities of a NT, even though Pot Roast is a perfect example of why it is not.

WE FANS are much more tranquillo when our team is ahead in the 2nd half. When behind we are very emotional and short! What does that make us? What are we?

I know it's preseason but that was a SuperBowl quality team we played, fairly well.
