If he were made of glass, Danario might have played longer.

I mean, do you have a glass table? Try kicking that table in the achilles and see if it shatters.

Unfortunately, Danario was made of Danario. If we were to take his Chargers career and only count the plays he was on the field, he probably would be a Hall of Famer.

We have more 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounders starting on this team than most teams. I think we have coaching issues. I think we have some fundamental flaws in the way we prepare. Both on the field and in the gym/training. And we probably are the most fragile team in the league.
"Coaching up" went away w/the arrival of Norv. We've never recovered.

I liked Floyd but he was really borderline poor man's #2 WR who was always hurt. He made occasional nice plays and then usually was out several weeks after a great play. I think Tyrell will eventually make a better version than what Floyd was.

I think if you go back and look, he was NOT always injured later in his career. He and VJ were a potent 1-2 punch for Rivers that made the passing game work under NOrv for multiple years.

He missed 40 games during his time with VJ. That 1/2 punch was as inconsistent as it gets based on his injuries. So he only missed 1 game in his last 2 years. He missed 56 games in his career. I dont even consider him a #2 WR with Gates and Allen being first in the pecking order. Im just not sure his last 2 years of not being injured mean anything. Replacing his production from his last 2 healthy seasons isnt some monumental task. Williams should do that easily. Through 7 games hes already produced as much as Floyd did with 15 games his final year. We upgraded #2 imo. And its not even close if we are looking at Floyds "Later Years".

Williams will be a legit #2 WR who may end up being a non injury prone player. Just because Floyd only missed 1 game in his last 2 seasons....and really only did anything in one of those seasons.....dosnt negate the fact that he was probably the most injury prone WR in the league during his career. Williams to me is our version of Prime Marques Colston. And having that type of player as a #2 WR is a really good thing. Because i think he will only get better. I think he could end up with 1200 yards this season. And maybe even be considered a legit #1.

Going forward Allen, Williams, Benjamin, Henry and Gordon in the pass game looks awfully nice to me.

Williams looks promising, but he needs to learn to go up and get the ball. You could always count on Floyd coming down with deep jump balls.

I'm glad Malcom can still walk.

Man, he was such an easy target with his long skinny frame.

Will be? I think he already is a legit #2. Look at what he's doing basically being the #1.

That almost TD pass the Gates dropped? Which was defended really well. My 12 year old son was like "Hunter Henry could have caught that"! Which, I don't know, it was defended really well. But I found that amusing.

I'll admit that I had that thought, too. (And Gates is one of my all time favorite Bolts, so I'm not bashing.) I'm glad to know that I am thinking at the level of a 12 year old. I'm showing progress.
