Pre-season thoughts

Well, I'm not going to defend Norv. Norv had the talent and, with the exception of one season and two games against Manning, was a failure.

Reich was never given a chance. He might suck - I even thought he did until I came the realization of just how pathetic the offensive line was. Too many injuries, and the guys getting injured weren't good in the first place.

As I said, this season will prove a lot.

Not much difference between the current o-line and the o-line of the past few seasons. If we see them improve and produce, the proof will be in the pudding as they say.

I'm predicting a stable and ball control type offense that wins the time of possession battle. We'll see...

We got a new center. I'm hoping that is the difference.

I'm also hoping one or two of the guards I don't know much about turn out to be adequate and take over for Fluker and Franklin, who both licked ass last year.

Funny, so if they succeed it all has to do with the center and nothing to do with play calling, tempo and ultimately coaching. Way to set yourself up not to be wrong in any case.

I only said I couldn't tell if Reich was good or bad. You're the one who had the certainty that he was awful.

As far as being right, I'm the only one in this conversation who admitted he was wrong about anything. I, like you, thought Reich sucked, and wanted him canned about two games into his tenure. But, after a year or so, I figured out I didn't know what I was talking about. One can't judge a playcaller when he doesn't have the players.

I'm basing this off the game against az:

I think the run game is going to improve dramatically. It is clear that we are going to avg 4 ypc for the season. Huge upgrade. Gordon looks like a different player.

Defense is going to be average which will be an improvement over last year.

I think 8-10 wins is my guess.

That's actually a fact. A couple years ago, we were above .500.

I noticed no mention of Attaochu Coach. I'm not sure what's going on with him.

Hence, that's why I left him out! He was running with 2nd/3rd units at Tenn. And I've seen him on ST's. I don't know what's going on with him.
