The only thing I remember about the Lions DL is when they quit in the 2nd half against us last season.

None of those guys are household names, to be sure. Sitton could have been had for a reasonable 3-year deal; it doesn't appear we even made a pitch. Not surprising, but also a bit disappointing, which is the Chargers "expected response" to such opportunities. My apologies - right! - for not doing somersaults for a few cast-offs.

And if the Chargers had spent a bunch of money on Sitton, a guy with back issues, declining play and on the wrong side of 30, everyone here would've crucified TT for another failed FA signing. He signed with the Bears for 3 years 21.75 mil. You want to spend that kind of cash on another FA OL?

I want the team to WIN. Now. Whatever it takes. Right now, we don't have the horses, IMO. Nor do we have the luxury of time (Rivers). Christ...is this becoming a "Positive Posts Only" board?

Not to mention Sitton was a free agent. He picks who he wants to sign with amongst teams that call his agent. Maybe we didn't call but that's a pretty big contact he just got.

Of course they weren't household names. We are talking about teams second and third stringers, older vets and cap casualties. Woodhead wasn't a household name when we signed him. He played less in NE than he has here.

Woodhead has not improved his star power since coming to San Diego.

                      Plus he's a backup here.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Which is why I responded with "Who, who, and....who?". And why I politely objected to the sarcastic 'Expected Response' reply from bonehead.

Understood. And I guess I shouldn't have been surprised if the Chargers weren't on his short list of teams. Although the Bears aren't one of the first teams that come to mind when I try to predict the next Super Bowl winner.
