    Ground Hog Day

Have we seen this broken record before?

With Allen in the game, the offense is humming along, looking good and scoring. Allen get hurts, we can't score TDs, lose and are in last place.

    Ground Hog Day.

    I don't buy it.

It's a huge loss for sure but is Allen more valuable than Rivers? The o-line played well. The run game was excellent until they inexplicably stopped feeding Gordon. There's no excuse not to keep scoring in the second half.

So does that mean we still would've sucked last year even with a healthy OL? Maybe not, our record still wasn't good even before he got ir'ed last year

The Chargers were 6-6 in converting 3rd downs before Allen got hurt. They were 1-8 after he got hurt. Not saying he is more valuable than Rivers, but as soon as Allen got hurt, the drop off in the WR allowed them to stack the box and we couldn't do anything about it.

This was sickening. I am feeling so bad right now. Why do I do this to myself?

I'm trying to figure out if I'm more surprised that they had a 21 point lead or more surprised that they blew a 21 point lead

I think I'm more surprised that they were up 21.

This loss has to fall on the head coach.

Bottom line is that KC made some adjustments. We didn't.

We became completely one dimensional in the second half with Rivers having practically only one playmaker(woodhead) to get the ball to. KC shortened the field and completely shut down our offense.

Benjamin has tons of speed but he is not a slasher than can get open in the short and mid range game on his own. Right now the only true playmakers we have on offense are Woodhead and maybe Gordon(still being established). Gates is done and our receivers are currently mediocre right now.

Gates needs to sit and make way for Henry and we need a receiver to step up and produce asap otherwise this team is heading nowhere.

Well McCoy did say he was mentored by Dan henning so this must be a ground hog day of the early 90s

All teams make adjustments. Our adjustments just don't seem to work when Allen is out.

A wide receiver should never be the difference between the first-half performance and the 3-win team that showed up for the rest of the game. Last I checked, Keenan doesn't play defense, kick, punt or coach.

Let's be honest - this team would have found a way to lose even if Rivers was throwing to Jerry Rice and Randy Moss in their primes.
