    The rookie punter

Hey Rook, nice 17 yard punt at the 1:59 minute mark of the 4th quarter. Good job! Oh, and by the way, if you don't start moving with a greater sense of urgency you're going to have a punt blocked within the next week or 2. Guaranteed! Mike Scifres was a little slow but at least his punts were boomers and he was considered a good defensive weapon at times. Suck it up buttercup!

    You are no Mike Scifres.

That was not a great start for him, and really a big drop from what we saw in the preseason. Let's see how he bounces back.

Even the time he had a chance to pin them back his punt was poor and I don't think it put them inside the 20.

I believe he was launching them into the endzone in the preseason(?). Pinning them inside the 20 is something he's going to need to learn to get good at.
            Prediction:
            Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

I still can't recall a punt rebounding 15 yards. In general, maybe he cooled off because his first punt was late in the second quarter. I still look forward to him improving, as there is nothing but up from that game.

That last punt it seemed our players watched it go backward and didnt have any urgency to pounce on it. Id have to see it again though.

Im not real worried about our punter though. Bigger fish to fry. Why is McCoy and Pagano still employed?

On the bright side, our kickoffs are badass. If it is going to be like this all year, we can start cutting kickoff-coverage specialists.

                    Those kickoffs truly ruled yesterday.

I think I am more happy that there won't be any runbacks so our chance of injury will go down.

Still need them for punts. Plus league wide the return percentage went up with many teams preferring to kick it high and short knowing that it tough to get it to the 25
