OT: Surprise teams for this year?

As you guys have been watching preseason games, have you seen any clubs that might surprise this year?

I haven't seen a ton of games other than ours, but I was pretty impressed with St Louis. Austin is going to be a force. Bradford looks to be surrounded by some good talent, finally. Jared Cook will be a welcome addition. They started to put some things together on D last year and I was very impressed with Ogletree last week. They could be ready to make some noise. Of course, the downside for them is their division. But I like what I have seen so far.

The Raiders will surprisingly admit to being one-hundred percent pure evil. They will voluntarily forfeit every win they ever had, shoot their Super Bowl rings with silver bullets caked in garlic and holy water, denounce their fans as demonic turds, and change their logo to a picture of Al Davis's ghost sucking on a fat, hairy lightning bolt.

The Rams would not be a surprise team. I expect them to be good.

Here's my surprise team: San Diego. Now, before you all get in a tizzy, let me add that this would surprise me, too. I expect the Chargers to finish 7-9 or 8-8. But if they suffer no further significant injuries and get some lucky breaks, they could conceivably surprise.

I would not be shocked to see the Rams win that division. Yes, I am smoking weed. I stand by that prediction, tho.

I dont think anyone will necessarily be shocked that thwy are better. I do think they will be surprised at just how much better. They're going to really push good clubs all year, IMO

I thought the Titans looked good against Atlanta. Pass rush was getting to Ryan, secondary was delivering hits, CJ and Shonn Greene had good blocking out front. Overall they look to be on the upside and rising fast. One of their announcers presented the question to the booth; which game on the schedule did they have circled as a "key game"? One said, "San Diego. I hate the Chargers."

Titans have never beat the Chargers.

                Neither have the Houston Texans.

I'm about 75% sure that's about to change.

I thought their line looks a lot better than I remember it. I think Greene has the potential to be a kind of an under-the radar signing. As a complementary back, with a decent line and motivation, he's got some upside. A lot of things have to fall into place obviously, but with CJ that's got the potential to be a really good running game.

Still not sold on Locker, though.
