I tuned into Morning Drive this morning as I headed out ... about a 10 min segment about Steelers and how awesome Tomlin is and Steeler culture and debate about the 2 QBs - didn't fucking discuss Harbaugh and his culture or the Chargers once.

    dicks. they will learn.

I like Tomlin, but the fact is he is a head coach of a team that hovers around 500 every year the past 5-6 seasons and hasn’t won a playoff game in a long time, since 2016.

I am not sure if this has already been discussed, but this clip talks about the origin of the "pregame QB smacks" he does for his QB.

This goes back to Harbaugh's incredible life of football - the story comes with a Walter Payton reference, which is a very big to mention in a story. the story begins at 12:30 in the clip.

Hasn't won a playoff game since 2016? He's the Tom Telesco of coaches!

Teams take on the identity of their HC coach and Tomlin strikes me as a tough, no nonsense kind of guy. Pittsburgh is a solid organization that looks like it has a plan and sticks to it. Much to be admired. But offensively they struggle and as good as they've been on defense, they haven't had an offense to match.

I like our guy. "Competitors welcome". Churning the roster to get guys that love football the way he loves football. He wants to play tough on both sides of the ball and there's no waver in his belief. He trusts his staff, trusts his GM and I'm sure trusts his players. I bet they feel that. Harbaugh is top notch.

he's hovered around the sub/barely 0.600 mark since Ben retired, his FO has failed to get him a legit QB. Listening to NFL Morning Drive coming in, whoever gave the slightest edge to PIT due to home field opener enthusiasm. Other whoever noted Tomlin and Harbaugh have never had a losing record in the NFL. calling it basically a tossup, which is fair going into the game.

Except we know OUR HARBAUGH CHARGERS - its not a tossup, we are going to win. We won't win by 20 unless Fields implodes, but all we need is a W. close games are more exciting anyway.

I think majority of media, fans see Harbaugh as a run the ball coach.

I'm starting to see his greatness as being able to bring a positive attitude and perspective to the locker room and organization. Also, just as important being able to hire the correct people and delegate.

I myself and I think many others are very happy with the hiring of Joe Hortiz, Ben Herbert, Jesse Minter, retaining Ryan Ficken over hiring his own Son, the jury is still out on Greg Roman (may be a loyalty hire).

Harbaugh is all of the above more importantly than just a run the ball coach. Hopefully he can delegate and we can control the clock, punch the other team in the mouth, pass and run and have the opposing team not want to play us again.

                    Hopefully sooner than later.

                      Agree with all of this.

I think some of us (myself included) got carried away with the "Harbaugh effect" thinking that he would come in and have instant success like he did elsewhere. It appears that that might not be the case here in year 1, WHICH IS OK, because we finally have competent people leading this team. We have to realize that this team will look WAY different in 2025, they need time to build the roster the way they want. For that reason, Roman will also be here through 2025 at a minimum.

We just need to be patient. I know it sucks to wait, but there are probably still too many Staley/TT holdovers left to really make any noise this year. Better days ahead.

It took Marty a little time. It will take Jim some, too. Still hopeful for this year, though.

don't throw in the towel just yet. We're 2-2, a couple good bounces here n there and we could be sitting 5-3 with an improving team ready for the 2nd half. I think 4-4 or better gives them that shot to get to a WC, but I do expect more more and more of more once they have a year of acquisitions when they are not shackled with TT's cap debt bomb.

of, worser case - you're right and its 2025 ...
