That said, I agree with you that Center is probably more a Day 3 than a 2nd round pick

Trade 2 of the 3 4ths for a 3rd. If a guy you really want falls to the 2nd somewhere, trade 2 3rds for a 2nd. Now you got 2 2nds a 3rd and a 4th. This team desperately needs two 2nds in this draft. It’s so deep and talented with day one, rookie starters in the 2nd round.

All of us want to run the ball better. That's a given. And no one is raging against that thought.

But this discussion started a few pages back when discussing teams with a close to 50/50 run/pass ratio.

The ratio will be whatever is best for the team's offense.
I predict a 55/45 ratio pass/run.

It isn’t so much the ratio with pass or run. It’s the fact that when we run, it should look better than it has been. That’s the excitement for me. Those 4 minute drives to salt the game away, can now be more efficient. You can’t stop Herbert from slinging it around the yard.

Harbaugh is a master at talking in circles without giving up anything. He's not going to give the reporters the quotes they are looking for and he's not going to talk bad about a past player. Basically, when pressed by the reporter about Keenan he talked in circles and stayed neutral.

totally, i see a guy who is totally calculated because he knows people are listening to every word - and then when he does talk, he knows every player and every detail. he is uber competitive, and he sees an interview as a bit of competition to say the right things and not give away information.

he has his guard up. constantly repeating the question while he starts thinking.

Harbaugh does know what is going on. The reporters did a great job asking about a lot of players and I liked Harbaugh's command. I just cannot fathom what it is like to talk with him regularly. It must be maddening.

Mrs Harbaugh: "Jim, do you want chinese or mexican for dinner tonight?"

Jim: (Big pause, empty stare). "Chinese or Mexican? Food? pause......My favorite thing about food is my favorite thing......ah.....pause....When I think about those cooks, I think,...just do you. Don't get a big head. Cooking is a great profession. Ah, cook at the top of your profession. pause......stare.....It's like that show, Frank Cannon, ah.....it was an awesome show, ah...really good. Whether we have, ah, Mexican or ah, Chinese, I ask myself, did they aquit themselves well? Ah, you know I mean, ah, what food depends on no other food to be good, but every other food depends on them to taste good? Do you? do you like Mexican food? I just can't I can't wait to get in that room, to start eating, its a smorgasboard, all you can eat buffet, right here. Kyle Brandt is convinced Harbaugh will draft Blake Corum. He also says the game he's most looking forward to this season is the first Chargers-Chiefs game.

What's your expectations for Chargers new-look offense?

The new kickoff rule (proposed) gives returners like DD an advantage (speed), could result in more return TDs, overall. The kicker would kick off from where he does now, but the rest of the players on the kicking team would line up downfield to avoid having players run at each other full speed. If the kick returner breaks through the first line of tacklers there's not going to be anyone behind him, and if he's got speed like DD nobody's going to catch him.
