If this is true, then they are still looking for a specific type of X WR. BJT is 6'3", 209lbs, 4.3 40. The Chargers drafted 2 WRs after Ladd. Rice and Johnson who similar body size but not as fast. Johnson has 4.4 speed but was cut.

Looking at the early rnd (1-3) prospects there are not that many WRs if any that have similar traits as BJT. Few who are close that the Chargers could be looking at are Royals 6'0", 205lbs, 4.3 40. Egbuka 6'1", 205lbs, 4.3 40. Ayomanor 6'2", 210lbs, 4.4 40. Williams 6'5", 225lbs, 4.4 40. There are few more that has been mentioned like Bryant and Bech.

The more I watch of Williams the more I'm starting to like him. The Chargers could use him in the wildcat and open up some wrinkles in the playbook. I think he is going to climb up the draft boards after the combine.

so get another Williams that is 6'5" at WR? Hopefully he doesnt have injury issues like MDub did. Now did he run a 4.4 or 4.4*?

6'5" sounds pretty tall to run a wildcat. I would assume they are still looking for an X type of WR1 player, given we don't have one that should play WR1.

ATL's wildcat play blew up in their face last night - no existential meaning to this note, just an observation. ok - maybe the meaning is that OCs are important after all.

Yes, Mack is 34 and yes he's at the end of his career, but his value to the team cannot be overstated, he's the type of guy every single coach in the NFL wants on their team, plus his value in the open market might surprise some folks, it might be a similar situation to the one that JJ Watt found himself when he signed with the Cardinals, everyone was surprised with the contract numbers Watt got, but unlike Watt, Mack won't go to a team like the Cardinals, he wants to finish his career at least competing for a championship and he seems to like LA and he also likes the direction that LA is going in...me personally I think he just enjoys beating the fuck out of the Raiders every chance he gets, LOL...which is also another one of the reasons why he's more than worth keeping around as long as we can

EDIT: can you guys imagine Mack going into the HOF as a Charger? That alone would be worth the price of keeping him around, no?

Of course I would love it if Khalil went into the HOF as a Charger but I'd understand it if he chose the Raiders instead. I'd be fine with it. The guy is the perfect player. I am humbled when I watch him play. And he's such a team guy. I'm so grateful to Telesco/Staley for acquiring him.

Not only is Molden a terrific football player, he is a supremely tough human. My gosh.

Hope he is resigned. Was a tremendous add to the secondary. A smarter, less athletically limited version of Gilman.

True, but Reid is gonna want a big payday...at 27 years old, he's probably looking for a 4-5-year deal...not sure Trader Joe would cut loose with the coin for a safety for big bucks, especially when we need a C, G, WR, RB and D-line...at safety, I'm thinking Hortiz signs one of those hungry guys for $3-4 mil a year on a one or two year deal...
