No thanks . . . . . . . we just got rid of the DE version of Alexander - why sign up for more of the same (pain)?

Algo must have changed, I watched this last week & a game vs the 49ers when Harbaugh was coach.

          I didn’t realize Rivers was 4-0 against the 9ers.
Offseason signature space for rent. Inquire within.

Thanks so much! That was fun. And the stats they showed about the Chiefs playoff record at that time? Shows how things can change.

The 2014 win over Harbaugh's 49ers on a Saturday night is one of my favorites of all time. Rivers could hardly move because of his back injury in the first half, but he gutted it out and played well during the second half in the comeback win. Unfortunately Telesco and McCoy were in only their second year in 2014, so we still had ten mostly disappointing seasons before Harbaugh and Hortiz were hired. It's still hard to believe that Telesco was allowed to hire another head coach after Lynn was fired. Better late than never to get a coach like Harbaugh, though.

Rivers' comebacks over the Chiefs in 2008, 2013, and 2018 rank up there, too.

John Spanos was involved with those decisions.

Now a days, not so much. (Thank God)

Mired in their own postseason drought, the Chargers have not won a playoff game since the 2018 season. Their last two attempts flamed out spectacularly. The 27-point blown lead in Jan. 2023 was the largest in franchise history.
Do the players who were there get a Chargers Record patch for that? Asking for a friend.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
                  Let’s win one for Mack.

No. However, they *do* have a patch for players who endured the 63-21 loss to the Raiders, the one that got Telesco and Staley fired.

That loss was the most exciting moment of Chargers histoty.
The players said to the world that they will not play for Staley anymore.
Maybe a little bit embarassing but ...

Did you guys/gals hear that Mdub was hurt? I missed this report ...

The Los Angeles Chargers unfortunately did not do a whole lot to address their ailing receiving corps in free agency, only replacing the departed Joshua Palmer

...The last time Williams was in LA, he played in just three games before suffering a torn ACL, which knocked him out for the remainder of 2023.

At 30 years old, there is obviously risk for re-injury, and we don't really know if the 6-foot-4 weapon possesses the same explosiveness anymore. He certainly didn't appear to last year.

And here's the biggest problem: Williams is already hurt, as the veteran has been dealing with an undisclosed injury that kept him out of Chargers minicamp. The wide out is expected to return for training camp next month, but there is no question that his absence raises concerns.

Williams was signed to comprise a reliable playmaker for Justin Herbert, but if he is unable to stay healthy, his presence won't mean that much. While this particular injury does not seem to be anything serious, the fact that he is already banged up is definitely concerning.

Hopefully, this is nothing major, and the former No. 7 overall pick will be able to get back out on the field quickly, but you can't help but raise your eyebrows over the fact that Williams is dealing with another injury this early.

Well, when we signed Mike Will, we knew what we were getting...a solid vet when healthy...if we can get at least 12 games out of him this season, I would call that a plus...
